This all-blue uniform was introduced alongside England's 2005 home kit and only appeared for the duration of that year.  The shorts and socks of the uniform were also worn with a black jersey of the same design.  In fact, because this jersey was dark navy, it was only when comparing the two, that it became apparent that they were, indeed, different coloured jerseys. For the World Cup qualifying fixtures, England wore the FIFA GERMANY 2006 logo, heat-pressed onto the upper right arm.
