Playing Career

Club(s)
Joined Chelsea FC as an eight year-old and progressed through its academy. Chalobah signed his first professional contract on 9 March 2018. Shortly afterwards, on 25 June, he was sent out on a season-long loan with Ipswich Town FC, where he played in the centre of midfield. After returning to Stamford Bridge to sign a new contract, he signed another season-long loan with Huddersfield Town AFC on 8 August 2019. He returned to Chelsea once more to sign a new improved contract, and again, sent out on a season-long loan, this time to French Ligue One side, FC Lorient, on 18 August 2020. He began the following season in Chelsea's first team, where he remained until another season-long loan deal with Premier League rivals, Crystal Palace FC, was signed on 30 August 2024. However, because of Chelsea's injury issues, especially in the defensive department, he was recalled on 15 January 2025.
