Men's Variations |
- The
names of England's opponents, as they appeared beneath the
emblem, were BELGIUM.
-
Against Belgium, England wore the Alzheimer's Society logo on the right
sleeve, and the players did not wear names on the back of their shirts
in the second half. This had also been done in a game against
Switzerland, two years earlier, and was designed to raise awareness of
the fact that sufferers typically forget names.

This
particular combination of colours was previously used for an
England kit in 2020,
from the Nike Gardien II range, but this later design (from Gardien V)
brought out a stronger contrast between the colours, using a wavy abstract
pattern similar to that of spilled paint.
It was odd that there was a yellow kit, as
well as orange, two colours that clashed in the same way with similar kits
from other teams, but it remained to be seen how they were to be allocated
to matches. |
