Description
White short-sleeved shirt with Blue Void v-necked collar overlaid with a short Blue Void winged collar. Multi-coloured St George's Cross on back of collar, consisting of a different shade of red on each of three vertical lines, and a different shade of blue on each of three horizontal lines, with both sets of lines converging on a point in the middle of the cross, and the order of the three red and blue shades reversed in the opposite half of both the horizontal and vertical sets of lines. Five-coloured stripe at the cuffs, consisting of (from the uppermost) red, orange, pink, pale-blue and Blue Void stripes, in the middle of the white cuffs. Thick Blue Void side-seam panel running from the bottom of the hem, and then down the sleeves up to, and including the cuffs. Emblem on left breast, with a white star above it. The opponent's name in capitalised black lettering below the emblem and the date in black below the opponent's name (e.g. 07.06.24 (men's) or 5 APRIL 2024 (women's)). Blue Void Swoosh on right breast, and Blue Void number on chest and back of shirt in a new three-dimensional font, with white sides, bordered in Blue Void. Small white emblem at base of each digit on back. Blue Void surname on back above the number, in a different (two-dimensional) font. Rectangular black label on left hip. ENGINEERED in large gold capitalised letters, occupying two-thirds of the upper left-hand side of the label and bordered in gold. Remaining third comprises a gold flower logo. Two gold lines underneath above a ten-character serial number in gold. DRI-FIT ADV in capitalised pure-platinum lettering on right hip on the back of the shirt.

Blue Void shorts, with a Blue Void drawstring and five-coloured horizontal stripe at the front and back of the hem, excluding the continuation of the Blue Void side-streams from the shirt, and consisting of (from the uppermost) red, orange, pink, pale-blue and Blue Void stripes, in the middle of the white hem. White number on left thigh in same font as on the shirt, but with Blue Void sides, bordered in white, and white Swoosh below it. Emblem on right thigh.

White socks with a five-coloured stripe across the tops, consisting of (from the uppermost) red, orange, pink, light-blue and Blue Void stripes, and a Blue Void Swoosh below it. Multi-coloured St George's Cross on back of calf, consisting of a different shade of red on each of three vertical lines, and a different shade of blue on each of three horizontal lines, with both sets of lines converging on a point in the middle of the cross, and the order of the three red and blue shades reversed in the opposite half of both the horizontal and vertical sets of lines. Pure-platinum stripes along the heels, soles and sides of the feet, reaching a point across the middle of the top of the sock from the left instep and behind it from the right, with a pure-platinum panel on the soles underneath the toes. LEFT (or RIGHT) | (abbreviation for size e.g. SM for small, MD for medium, LG for large) in navy-blue capitalised lettering across the toes.

Following five years of separate designs, the new release for Euro 2024 was a combined one for both male and female teams, though the women's kit featured differences to the chest, sleeves and waist to make it more comfortable for the female athlete.

The previous men's kit had only been used for 14 months and the women's for just ten months, but they were combined with a view to continued future joint-releases at, presumably, two-year intervals, prior to the major men's tournaments, in even-numbered years.

There was a big media debate leading up to the first game, in which the multi-coloured St George's Crosses caused a furore, with even politicians, including the Prime Minister, joining in to state that Nike should not have interfered with the colours of the national flag, despite the fact that the Umbro kits of 2010-11 had earlier changed the colours without any major discourse.

It was aired in a match for the first time on 20 March 2024 as the Under-17s took on Northern Ireland at St George's Park, beating them 5-1.
