Description
 

 
Light Green Spark short-sleeved shirt with a black crew-neck collar and a small 'v' cut out of the middle of the back collar. Green Strike sleeves. Abstract fingerprint pattern in Green Strike covering both the front and back of the main body. Thick black curved stripe down each side-seam. Emblem on left breast, with sport royal blue border and a Green Strike star above the emblem. The opponent's name in capitalised Green Strike lettering below the emblem and the date in Green Strike below the opponent's name (e.g. 8 SEPTEMBER 2020). Green Strike Swoosh on right breast and a black number one, with a white border, below it in the same font as the outfield kits. Black number one on reverse in same font, but with a continuous Light Green Spark line running through it and a Light Green Spark emblem laid over the line, with a Light Green Spark border, at the base of the number. Surname in capitalised black lettering above number on reverse in same font as the outfield shirts. Rectangular black label on left hip with a white border. ENGINEERED in large white capitalised letters, occupying two-thirds of the upper left-hand side of the label and bordered in white. Remaining third comprises a white Swoosh. Two white lines underneath above a ten-character serial number in white. Light Green Spark shorts, with a curved thick black stripe down each side. Black number on left thigh, in same font as on chest, with Green Strike Swoosh underneath. Emblem on right thigh, with sport royal blue border. Light Green Spark socks, with a Green Strike Swoosh on shin.
Variations

 

  • The names of England's opponents, as they appeared beneath the emblem, were CZECH REPUBLIC, DENMARK, HUNGARY, ICELAND, ITALY, IVORY COAST, POLAND, SAN MARINO, SCOTLAND and SWITZERLAND.

  • In the European Championship Final, UEFA EURO 2020 FINAL appeared in Green Strike beneath the date.

  • For the Nations League games in 2020, England wore the competition logo on the right sleeve and the UEFA RESPECT logo on the left sleeve.

  • For the European Championship finals, England wore the competition logo on the right sleeve and the UEFA RESPECT logo on the left sleeve.

  • For the World Cup qualification matches, England had the FIFA WORLD CUP Qatar 2022 Qualifiers logo on the right sleeve, and the European Qualifiers and UEFA RESPECT logos on the left sleeve.

  • Against Switzerland, England wore the Alzheimer's Society logo on the right sleeve, and the players did not wear names on the back of their shirts in the second half. This was a gesture highlighting a common symptom of the disease, that of forgetting the names of people.

  • Against Hungary in the Nations League, England wore the competition logo on the right sleeve and the 'UEFA FOUNDATION for children' logo on the left sleeve.

England's second-choice kit, like the yellow-and-gold first choice, was part of Nike's Gardien III design, with the same fingerprint-like pattern across the main body of the shirt, this time combining two shades of green, with the lighter shade occupying the rest of the kit.

Jordan Pickford wore the kit in the final of the European Championship and almost rescued England's fading hopes when he miraculously pushed Italy's Jorginho's kick onto the post. Sadly, it only delayed England's defeat for less than a minute, as England's next kick was also saved.
