Up until the end of the 2017-18 season, only the Under-17 World Cup and Nike International Tournament were of the usual ninety minutes, but all other matches at under-17 level were of eighty minutes' duration (two halves of forty minutes each) with no extra time. From the beginning of the 2018-19 season, all under-17 matches were ninety minutes long.
