Marriage to Ellen Wallwork [registered in Manchester, June 1945]
 

According to Passenger Lists, Ronald Staniforth was a member of Huddersfield Town AFC, and left the Port of Liverpool, bound for Montreal, Canada, on 7 May 1955, on the Empress of Scotland. His address was stated as 41 Broad Lane in the Dalton area of Huddersfield.
Then, according to the 1957 Kelly's Directory, Staniforth was living at 77 Shenstone Road, in the Hillsborough area of Sheffield.

Death 5 October 1988, at 18 Barnes Avenue in Dalton-in-Furness, aged 64 years 176 days [registered in Barrow-in-Furness, December 1988] of Motor Neurone Disease. Death date revealed by the Probate, which also stated he left an estate not exceeding £70,000.
