Serbia on 13 November 2025.
Diary

-
Thomas Tuchel has named a 25-man squad to face Serbia and Albania next
week. As expected, he has recalled Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden, while Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott,
22, who was part of the England side that won the European Under-21
Championship in the summer, has been called up to the senior squad for the first time.
However, he has resisted calls to include Brighton striker Danny Welbeck, while
Everton's attacking midfielder Jack Grealish, and Real Madrid's right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold miss out.
Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope, Manchester City defender Nico O'Reilly
and Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton are the other players back
in the squad. The players dropped from the last international break
are Morgan Gibbs-White, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, James
Trafford and Ollie Watkins. The two fixtures will be their final competitive outings prior to next summer's World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
has featured in all 10 of Bournemouth's Premier League matches this season, scoring once and helping them to fifth in the table.
Sunday, 9 November 2025 - Marc Guéhi, Nick Pope and Anthony Gordon are set to miss England's final two World Cup qualifying games through injury.
Defender Guéhi suffered a foot injury in Crystal Palace's midweek Conference League win that left him unable to walk.
Newcastle winger Gordon missed today's defeat by Brentford with a hip issue, while goalkeeper Pope also picked up a concussion in the 3-1 loss.
"Nick Pope suffered concussion and that's why we took him off," said Magpies manager Eddie Howe.
"As soon as we were made aware of that, he was withdrawn. He won't go with England.
"Anthony has a minor injury so he'll miss England."
Palace boss Oliver Glasner confirmed the extent of Guehi's injury on Sunday before their match at home to Brighton, saying the player would miss the Premier League game with "a heavy bone bruise".
The incident happened at the end of the 3-1 win over AZ Alkmaar on Thursday as the Palace captain conceded a yellow card for a foul.
"Overnight he couldn't sleep, it was so painful and the next day we assessed him and it was a heavy bone bruise. He was walking on crutches the last two days and couldn't even step on his foot. Fortunately nothing is broken, but at the moment he can't even walk. It looks like he will miss England's games, but after, maybe in 10-14 days hopefully he can return to training and be available again."
Tuesday, 11 November 2025 - The players
begin arriving at Tottenham Hotspur's Training Ground in Enfield as Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah and Manchester City keeper James Trafford have been called up following the withdrawals of Newcastle United's Anthony Gordon and Nick Pope.
Crystal Palace defender Marc Guéhi has joined up and "will continue to be assessed in the coming days".
Chalobah earned his first call-up under England manager Thomas Tuchel in May and then made his debut against Senegal.
In September, Tuchel said Chalobah was unfortunate to be left out of the squad for qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia, and also didn't call him up for the subsequent October international break.
There are likely to be other additions to the squad.
Wednesday, 12
November 2025 - All players except Marc Guéhi are training at
Tottenham Hotspur Training Ground. Tuchel says his defender is experiencing a lot of pain, but no structural damage, so he will continue to be assessed.
If there is a sudden improvement then he could "realistically" play a role in the second game in Albania, but will not travel if there is no improvement.
Thursday, 13 November 2025 - England 2
Serbia 0 - England extended their flawless record in World Cup qualifying with a seventh successive victory as Serbia were beaten at Wembley.
Thomas Tuchel is now able to fine-tune his plans after a low-key affair on a rain-soaked evening.
Tuchel gave a first senior cap to Manchester City's Nico O'Reilly at left-back, but it was one of England's established stars who made the breakthrough, Bukayo Saka scoring after 28 minutes with a perfectly placed left-foot volley beyond Serbia keeper Predrag Rajkovic.
Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers was selected ahead of Jude Bellingham in the number 10 role and displayed plenty of energy and some nice touches before being replaced by his boyhood friend after 65 minutes.
Phil Foden also came on as substitute at the same time, and he combined with Bellingham to set up another replacement, Eberechi Eze, for a superb curling finish to wrap up England's win in the last minute.
Serbia mounted the occasional threat in the second half, but England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was able to extend his record run of clean sheets to 10, while Tuchel's side have now scored 20 goals without reply in their successful qualifying campaign.
Friday, 14 November 2025 - Marc Guéhi has returned to his club,
Crystal Palace, to continue with his rehabilitaion.
Saturday, 15 November 2025 - Their
are 23 of remaining 24 players out training at Tottenham Hotspur's
training ground, Ezri Konsa has 'tightness in his calf' and has missed
out. He stays in London as the rest of the squad leave Stanstead
Airport at 4.04pm, on board an 2Excel Aviation Boeing 737-76N
(BRO106A), with a National Geographic livery, arriving at Tirana
International Airport at 7.34pm.
