Birth 7 March 1920 in Bolton-upon-Dearne, West Riding of Yorkshire [registered in Doncaster, March 1920].
 

Cannot be found on the 1939 register, presumably still closed.

Marriage to Barbara Smith [registered in Huddersfield, September 1944]. Two children
 

According to passenger lists, Willie was stated as being a professional cricketer on his way to Kingston, Jamaica, on board the SS Matina, leaving Liverpool on 7 February 1957. His address is stated as 178 Laund Road, in Salendine Nook, Huddersfield.
Eighteen-months later, 20 September 1958, he was on the P&O Iberia bound for Sydney, same profession, same address.

Death 24 April 2004 in Johannesburg, South Africa, aged 84 years 48 days [not registered in UK].
