All information is complete to and including England's last match, the sixth of the 2012-13 season, against Sweden on 12 November 2012.

Diary

Thursday, 31 January 2013 - Roy Hodgson has selected a 24-man squad for Wednesday's match at Wembley, which will be a tough warm-up for next month's World Cup qualifiers in San Marino and Montenegro.  Hodgson makes no real surprises with his choices, witherton midfielder Leon Osman retaining his place in the squad following an impressive debut against Sweden last November.  Ashley Cole returns to the squad after missing the game in Stockholm through injury and the Chelsea star is in line to win his 100th cap should he feature against the South Americans.  Manchester United defender Chris Smalling is also back in the squad for the first time in almost a year, with injuries having kept him out since last February's game against the Netherlands.  With Norwich City's John Ruddy and Celtic's Fraser Forster both injured, only two goalkeepers have been selected.

Wilfried Zaha and Raveem Sterling have been recalled to the under-21 squad by Stuart Pearce.

Sunday, 3 February 2013 - England will be without Jermain Defoe and Michael Carrick, and Daniel Sturridge is a major doubt. Defoe, 30, was withdrawn after he picked up an ankle injury for Tottenham Hotspur at West Brom. Fellow striker Sturridge, 22, is having a thigh injury assessed and Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick, 31, has pulled out with a hip injury.  No replacements have yet been named for the 24-man squad.

Monday, 4 February 2013 - Daniel Sturridge has succumbed to his thigh injury and withdrawn from the England squad. No replacements have been named.
