    Match Report

BRUSSELS, May 19.--England followed up her success over France last Thursday by beating Belgium here this afternoon by three goals to one...

For a time the ball went from goal to goal, but after 25 minutes play Noeschalk gave Belgium the lead from a free kick. England played up with spirit, and after 35 minutes Dean, the Everton centre forward, finished a good combined movement with a good shot which made England level...

...a few minutes later Dean scored England's second goal from a corner-kick...

After 20 minutes' play England were awarded another corner-kick, from which Matthews scored.--Reuter - The Times - Monday 21st May, 1928

IN OTHER NEWS...

It was on 19 May 1928 that a foundation stone was laid at Stormont in Belfast to commemorate the completion of the Parliament Building for the devolved Northern Ireland Assembly.
