All information is
complete to and including England's last match, the seventh of the 2013-14 season,
against Germany on 19 November 2013.
Diary
Monday, 21 October 2013 -
England will play
Denmark in a Wembley friendly on 5 March 2014 in the build-up to the
World Cup. The fixture had been arranged as part of the agreement
which saw the teams meet in Copenhagen in February 2011.
Thursday, 27 February 2014
- Phil Jagielka has
been ruled out of England's friendly against Denmark with a hamstring
injury. Everton manager Roberto Martinez stated: "Phil felt his
hamstring and will be missing at the weekend and for England."
However, Martinez did suggest Gareth Barry should return to the
England set-up.
Roy Hodgson has also named his 30-man squad. Their is a first
senior call-up for Southampton's Luke Shaw, who makes the step up from
the under-21's. Raheem Sterling also joins the squad. Steven Caulker
has also earned a recall.
Sunday, 2 March 2014 - Kyle
Walker will not be fit for England's friendly, according to Spurs boss
Tim Sherwood. The 23-year-old could still link up with Roy Hodgson's
squad, but Sherwood thinks the defender will not be ready to play
after a hip injury. He missed Tottenham's 1-0 victory over Cardiff
earlier today.
Monday, 3 March 2014 - Kyle
Walker and Andros Townsend, plus Steven Caulker, John
Ruddy and Adam Lallana sit out training with the rest of the England
squad at St George's Park. All five players are "continuing recovery
work inside".
Tuesday, 4 March 2014 - Kyle
Walker has been withdrawn from the England squad. The medical staff
have decided that Walker has not recovered from his groin injury that
has sidelined him for the last four Tottenham Hotspur matches.
However, Hodgson has confirmed that Glen Johnson will win his fiftieth
cap and that Leighton Baines will be rested for the match, which means Luke Shaw may make his debut,
although Ashley Cole is the likely candidate to start, winning his
107th cap.
And there is a first senior call up for Southampton left-back Luke
Shaw, who makes the step-up from Gareth Southgate's Under-21
squad. Read more at

England boss Hodgson has selected Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge and
Manchester United's Wayne Rooney, who between them have bagged eight
times in the Premier League this season, after they missed
September's qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine. Rickie
Lambert and Danny Welbeck are also included in the forward line
along with Jermain Defoe. The midfield is largely unchanged
and includes England's latest member of the 100-club, Frank Lampard,
skipper Steven Gerrard anderton teenager Ross Barkley.
