All information is complete to and including England's last match, the ninth of the 2013-14 season, against Peru on 30 May 2014.

Diary

Thursday, 16 January 2014 - The FA have announced that England's final warm-up match ahead of the 2014 World Cup Finals will be against Peru. The fixture will be played on 30 May before England head to their pre-tournament in Miami, United States.

Monday, 12 May 2014 - Roy Hodgson, at Luton's Vauxhall car factory, has announced his 23-man squad plus seven standby players for the upcoming 2014 World Cup Finals. The only concern within that squad is that with Phil Jones' shoulder injury. His place will go to Everton's John Stones if he does not recover adequately.
Ashley Cole, on finding out that he was not part of the main squad, announced his international retirement before the squad was announced.

Sunday, 18 May 2014 - Frank Lampard has been named as the vice-Captain behind Steven Gerrard, for the World Cup Finals.

Thursday, 22 May 2014 - Squad numbers are assigned.

Thursday, 29 May 2014 - Luke Shaw is the only major doubt for tomorrow's friendly match with Peru after developing a cold.

Friday, 30 May 2014 - Gary Cahill and Phil Jagielka scored second-half goals to earn England a comfortable win over Peru in their last home game before the World Cup. Daniel Sturridge's fine curler lit up a turgid first half with Joe Hart saving well after Peru's Luis Ramirez was clean through on goal. Cahill then headed in from Leighton Baines's corner after 65 minutes. And centre-back partner Jagielka poked in after Peru goalkeeper Raul Fernandez dropped another Baines corner.

Saturday, 31 May 2014 - Midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and defender Phil Jones are set to start for England in their friendly against Ecuador after recovering from injuries. They have struggled with groin and shoulder problems respectively and should be fit for the match in Miami. "They will both play from the start," said England manager Roy Hodgson. "They could have both played against Peru, but we thought an extra day's training would do them more good than being on the bench." Everton left-back Leighton Baines, 29, could be rested after he was substituted on Friday because of a groin strain, although Hodgson said it was not a serious issue. Southampton's Luke Shaw, 18, may replace Baines after recovering from a cold that kept him out of the Peru game.

Monday, 2 June 2014 - As England arrive in Miami, it is announced that Rickie Lambert had signed for Liverpool FC at their Melwood base yesterday, before they jetted off.

And there is a first senior call up for Southampton left-back Luke Shaw, who makes the step-up from Gareth Southgate's Under-21 squad.
